You will see circular patches of faint bars that lean left, stand upright or lean right. Tap the matching button, or swipe the way they lean. Patches get fainter and finer; one eye at a time; about three minutes per eye.
References are numbered as in the report.
Full: every patch is shown (45 per eye). Quick: a column stops after two misses in a row; skipped patches are recorded as not presented.
The front camera estimates how far the screen is from your eyes so the patches can be drawn at the right size. Nothing is recorded or sent; only the distance number is kept. About 40 cm is ideal.
One-time check (optional, improves accuracy): measure 40 cm from your eyes to the screen with a tape or ruler, hold there, and tap.
Use your palm, without pressing on the eye. Keep wearing your usual glasses or contacts. The right eye is tested first.
Now cover your right eye and test the left. Keep the phone at the same distance.
